I'm interested in almost everything except football, I'm happy going out to movies, theater, dance, happy taking a walk, looking at art or watching people, and I'm also happy at home. Conversation is one of my greatest pleasures -- about ideas, people or things; one on one or with a group around a dinner table. Absurdity and slapstick make me laugh. I like to discover new tastes, new music, new ways of looking at things, new ideas. I'm a decent cook, especially if there's someone to cook for; even better if there's someone to cook with. My work is challenging, rewarding -- and solitary. When I'm not working I want good company. I'd love to be in a sweet, intimate relationship, one that also allows me the time I need to be alone.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a man I can be easy and open with, who's reasonably comfortable with himself and happy in his work, who's intelligent and kind and has a well developed sense of the absurd. If he's a good dancer, that's a plus.
The last great book I read
Some good books I've read recently: Atmospheric Disturbances,
an odd, funny novel by Rivka Galchen; Ooga Booga, surprising
poems by Frederick Seidel. And I'm rereading City
of Nets by Otto Friedrich, an hilarious history of Hollywood
in the Forties.
