(as per the headline...) Can't quite flip myself back over in the kayak yet, but yesterday was only the first try. So. Hi there. To give you a sense:
I am, and typically surround myself with folks who respond to most new things with curiosity rather than suspicion.
I really like nice people, especially those who try to live and let live.
I don't think it's a big deal for folks to occasionally sing along to a line or two of a Zune/Ipod etc when randomly in a public space. I actually think it's cool, makes me smile. A whole song loudly in the metro, maybe not, but you get my drift.
I like to tell stories about life happenings and I also very much like to hear them.
I will always go to see a new musician/group--as long as I can at least occasionally discern a melody.
I can typically cook a more-than-decent meal.
My most frequent social activities include going out with friends for dinner, movies, a show, a walk, and the like.
I like to kayak, hike, play tennis, do other such things and would like to do more frequently.
I don't always love it, but I try my best to keep up the yard and garden.
My Ideal Person:
Talk to me. Make me laugh (I generally can do that for you pretty easy... yeah, tend toward the goofy and more outspoken). Help me explore new nooks and crannies of DC and the surrounding area. Be a straight talker. Get excited about the idea of travel domestically or internationally, a great film or entertaining movie  , a live show (music, theatre), watching hockey or tennis, being on (and/or in) the water. Dig independent women. Enjoy going out with your buddies as well as your honey well into any relationship. Be the kind of person who's not bad at "getting" people and where they're coming from. Think that you're someone most people consider a nice guy. Come from a less judgmental perspective than many folks you may encounter. Have decent ethics and a job you don't despise.
