Because I don't have that 42-year-old-single-woman-desperate-to-fi nd-a-husband-and-have-a-baby-before-it&# 39;s-too-late thing going on....and I doubt I ever will.
Because I have curves and muscles and most of them are in the right places, and if some of yours aren't, that's okay too.
Because you can run your fingers through my hair without them getting stuck in a tangle of product/spray.

Because I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit (my head is *full* of trivial information).
Because two of these pictures were taken without any makeup on, and that's pretty much what I really look like. You'll be able to recognize me by my picture if we meet (refreshing, no?). Also - if you only have one photo posted, I will ask you for another. I posted several, which should give you an idea of what I look like. They are all fairly recent. None of them are photoshopped. I don't understand why people post photos that are 10 years old and what they expect to gain if/when somebody sees them in person and is surprised (not in a good way).
Because I will NEVER try something on and ask you if it makes my ass look fat. I promise.
Because I know how to jump out of a commercial airplane on the emergency slides. I can sit in the exit row and not only say I am willing to do it, but that I have done it before....and I *still* fly (a wee a bit medicated now).
My Ideal Person:
Somebody who loves NYC, but equally enjoys travel.
Somebody who will go on crazy adventures with me - stopping just short of arrest or death.
Somebody who knows that "a lot" is not spelled as "alot"! I'm not the spelling/grammar police, and I certainly make my share of mistakes, but this one just annoys me. Ever see that red squiggly line under the word when you type "alot"? Ever wonder what it means? 
What I'm NOT looking for (sometimes this is easier to describe):
- people who send me winks (thus ignoring my headline). Just say "hi".
- racists or homophobic people (I have a diverse set of friends)
- people who voted for Bush (either time)
- people who have unrealistic ideas of what they are seeking in a mate (I'm tired of seeing men who are 50 and who want to date women no older than 35. WTF is that?! What's wrong with dating somebody your own age? Don't know what I'm talking about? Take a look at 40 year old men and see how many of them are willing to date 40 year old women).
- people who go on and on in their profile about "finding somebody who makes ME laugh....finding somebody who understands ME....". What about making them laugh? understanding them? Huh?
- people who aren't afraid of a woman with an opinion (um...that would be me).

If I could be anywhere right now
Sunbathing (possibly topless -although not into getting
that deep dark tan) someplace with warm water, white sand,
cold drinks and a good companion. Living in a country civilized
enough to believe in good food, good wine, 6 weeks of vacation
and siestas in the middle of the day sounds perfect too.
NYC will always have a special place in my heart.

In my bedroom one will find...
A comfy space on the bed next to me, a large glass of water
by the bed, sunshine, a TV/DVD player(yes, I admit it), windows, a remote controlled
air conditioner (although I prefer fresh air), several
mirrors from around the world, , and lots of books (my office
and bedroom are attached). Also, a view to my backyard. I'm
so excited about this! I'm growing all kinds of plants,
veggies and herbs in my garden
