When recently polled, my family and friends (thankfully and graciously) replied that I'm generous, curious, fast with a quip and a pretty darn good story-teller. I'm an Army brat who moved around quite a bit as a kid before ultimately spending most of my formative years in Austin, Texas. I'm one of 5 sisters, including my twin, and while that sounds super girlie (and it was) I was definitely the tomboy of the family. Embarrassingly, I was also a TX high school cheerleader. I know, I know. It really seemed the right thing to do at the time.
I love to laugh, am very close to my family and friends and am extremely happy in my career. I've been in NY almost 8 years now and love that it always provides me with something new to discover (something else I enjoy). When it comes to food, I put Tabasco on just about everything. Being of Irish and Italian descent, I definitely know how to eat and drink (I'm a sucker for red wine) but work to keep myself in shape. I work out regularly and love a good run along the Hudson. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do -- especially spontaneous long weekends - and I'm always looking for a new place to visit. Music is a big part of my life, and I've lost more hours than I care to remember making playlists for my sisters and friends. The last great book I read was Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (amazing), and one of my favorite movies is Amelie, but I am a huge fan of all of the Bourne films, will stay up insanely late for a compelling documentary on just about anything, and I consider The Hangover an instant classic.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for someone who is smart, easy to laugh, creative and has a weakness for spicy food. If you like lingering over dinner with copious amounts of wine that's a big plus. I like being around people who are at ease with themselves and enjoy what they do.
