I am back in San Francisco after many years away and am falling in love all over again with this amazing city. I love to get out and meet different people in all corners. A small city like this has a sense of community, all different pockets with different dynamics, each one with cheap hole-in-the-wall places where I can meet interesting people. Here I can go in a day from a park to museum to a dive bar - walking all the way. I love that people are politically aware and it's easy to get involved in activism.
About me - I love riding MUNI. Does that sound weird? I'm open and enthusiastic, curious about the world, say what's on my mind to a fault, but rarely judge others. Silly profile namedropping: Shabana Azmi and Werner Herzog; the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kaki King, Suba, Cornershop, and Sigur Ros; Homestead and Yamo; hiking on trails in Vermont and cooking Indian food for my friends; going to see local live music and instigating impromptu discussions with friends.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who's self aware, knows what they want, isn't looking for someone to complete them, and can be in the present. Someone who has a sense of humor about themselves. The kind of person who is easygoing about their day but has energy to do lots of things. Someone who is positive.

Truth and Beauty by Ann Patchett was pretty good.
My most humbling moment
Maybe not the most, but I was certainly humbled when I lived
with a family in a tribal village in the jungle in the south
of India and they taught me how to save water when I was washing
dishes. When I went with them to get the water it was 2 miles
away down a mountain and we had to carry it back on our heads.
If I could be anywhere right now
It changes depending where I am and the mood I'm in.
