Moved back to NYC after 3 years of LA-living. I'm a good balance of free spirit and a truly grounded gal who loves life and keeps things in check. Friends describe me as funny, sarcastic, affectionate, passionate, realist, opinionated, dreamer, quirky, spunky, determined. A Gemini, afterall...
I have an independent nature, which never takes over my love of being surrounded by friends and family. I believe that every relationship requires that each person has their own 'space' yet craves for the next opportunity to be together. I enjoy going out and spending a weekend in. I see a lot of live music, attend art galleries, films and love getting lost in a used record or book store. I workout pretty regularly (yoga, cycling, did muay thai for some time) and enjoy the weekends to sleeping in or just playing in the sun. I prefer driving a stick shift to an automatic. I like warm weather over the cold...but then I like wearing warm clothes and walking around in the cold with coffee to keep me warm. I can be at a high-brow event that begins in the evening, to only end up at my local dive to close the night. I am fascinated by bike messengers and would love to be one for a day...but then again, I bruise too easily.
I tend to laugh out loud, laugh at myself and at other people when they aren't looking. I don't take myself too seriously, but I am headstrong in what I believe in. It is a blessing and a curse to not really "look" my age and I suppose to sometimes not really act it, either.
My Ideal Person:
The type of guy that always raises an eyebrow for me is someone who is willing to take chances, "sucks the marrow out of life", has a great sense of humor and a strong sense of self. Confidence without the arrogance. You are sincere, you are thoughtful, spontaneous and have a healthy relationship with your family.
Whatever your passions are, be willing to share them and be just as eager to learn from my offerings.
You must have an interest in any of the following and even if you don't, tell me why: seeing live music, watching rare and indie films or movie marathons, Sunday brunch and reading the Sunday paper, being healthy but won't pass judgement on my sudden and random craving for Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. Maybe you'll grab a spoon and dig in too! You like hiking, traveling, the beach, have a sense of adventure, dive bars with jukeboxes, willingness to try a new place that is on its way of becoming popular, but then the minute it hits the mainstream, not go there again.
Someone to remind me that staying in all weekend is the best medicine to rejuvenate our souls, together.
