Sailing is one of my passions, and many of my summers are spent sailing on Penobscot Bay and on Nantucket Sound. I grew up on the North Shore of Long Island sailing with my dad and spent my childhood learning to sail on the Cape in East Brewster, Mass. Virtually all of my vacation time is spent actively engaged in outdoor athletic activities. Since I am a nature lover, I normally choose a locale by the water where I am able to sail, swim, play tennis, and ride my bicycle. Quite recently I discovered the inherent beauty of the Berkshires, and the terrain near Lenox is intoxicating since towering maples, elms, and Norway spruces line hundreds of acres of woodlands. I lived and studied in Paris, Spain, and Switzerland during the summer as a teenager and have devoted years of my life studying French and Castilian Spanish. I have recently received an advanced degree from Columbia and have taught for over ten years at a private college in Manhattan. I have a consuming interest in studying Finance and reading The Wall Street Journal cover to cover is a favorite pastime. Friends would describe me as fun loving and kind with a strong social conscience.
